PV Power Station
The Photovoltaic (PV) power system consists photovoltaic module matrix,
accumulator, power supply controller, DC/AC inverter, power
transmission and distribution, low-voltage power feeding net, AC
& DC loads, etc. The set-up schematic diagram of PV power
station is as shown in the figure.

Photovoltaic module matrix outputs electrical energy under irradiation of
sunlight, charges the accumulator group via
reverse-charging preventive diode while powers DC loads. Meanwhile the output of
the photovoltaic module
matrix and the accumulator group goes
through the controller and is connected switched into inverter’s
DC input end, and power is supplied to load by the inverter via
distribution board. On continual overcast and rainy days when
power output of photovoltaic module matrix cannot meet the
requirement of normal power supply to the load, the accumulator
group will power the load via inverter. Moreover, in order to
monitor the performance of the entire system and operation of
the equipment, this system can also be equipped with monitoring
system.
PV Grid-Connected System
There is no need of storage cell devices in PV grid-connected
system which uses electrical network as storage location to
convert solar power into DC (direct current) by solar cell
array, then changes DC to 50Hz, 230/380V AC (alternating
current) though inverter.
